The Benefits of OligoScan Technology and Heavy Metal Skin Purging from Herbalix Restoratives

February 21st, 2018

-Aluminum Toxicity Experts Speak at the 5th Seminar of Minerals and Toxic Metals February 18, 2018 in Akihabara, Tokyo Japan-

When Michael and Elizabeth (Liz) Fessler, founders of Herbalix Restoratives, started to understand Aluminum (Al) and why it is used in antiperspirants, they discovered there was a lack of clarity on the safety of aluminum in cosmetics.  This led them to the discovery of a new underarm product – Nighttime Cleansing Detox Deodorant® with botanical, osmotic properties, and clinically proven to purge aluminum from the underarm.

“The belief that aluminum is only from antiperspirants, is a myth,” said Michael C. Fessler.  “Researching the many sources of aluminum in air, food, water, cosmetics, and medications, which humans absorb every day, led to the development of an aluminum resource learning center for understanding Al toxicity. We became educational advocates once we realized that it is associated with over thirty diseases and there is no standard of care for the treatment of this health hazard.”

Three and one-half years ago, Herbalix was introduced to a medical device called the OligoScan, designed to measure intracellular heavy metal intoxication via the skin (tissue) using spectrophotometry. Everything the company’s founders had suspected about Al became clear; it can affect every cell in the body and the balance of minerals. In using the OligoScan their greatest discovery was that aluminum storage in the skin is the first stage in detox and that topical purging of aluminum helps to restore the body’s sweat channels.

Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another”. – Einstein

We live in a polluted industrial world and human bodies are subject to absorbing toxins from the air, water,  and food – every day. One of the most dangerous healthwise, Al is the most abundant metal on both the earth and the moon. It is an element that cannot be destroyed and can only be changed from one form to another.

Herbalix first developed the botanical preservative “Herbalix” for cosmetic application, and in the process, the founders discovered a topical formulation for absorbing alum salt. This paved the way to develop specially formulated skin purging products for remediating heavy metals using excretory pathways targeting contaminants in organs and identifying the involvement of aluminum in the lymphatic system.

Today the Fesslers work with aluminum scientists and doctors throughout the world – including at the upcoming prestigious Seminar of Minerals and Toxic Metals on February 18, 2018, in Akihabara, Tokyo, Japan.

Through the years the founders of Herbalix have learned that each person requires individual guidance for the detoxification of heavy metals and maintaining mineral balance. By 2014 the Fesslers partnered with a company known as OligoScan who had developed a revolutionary method to detect the bioavailability of trace minerals and heavy metal intoxication via spectrophotometry. Its OligoScan Spectrophotometer is now used by practitioners to detect heavy metals in patients globally.

The reality is that each and every human being is distinct, and excretes toxins in varying degrees due to the heavy metal toxicity burdening the human excretory system. More and more people are losing the ability to sweat. One of the benefits of using the Oligoscan is that each and every person scanned is distinct.  A practitioner can also see the distinction between an excreter and nonexcreter.  This is important to know before beginning detox treatments.

There are currently several different methods to test for heavy metals including, hair, blood, urine, and tissue.

The OligoScan technology is an invaluable screening tool for obtaining actual intracellular tissue levels of minerals as opposed to other testing methods which are only indicative of what is being pulled out of the extracellular circulatory system. It’s the most innovative testing methodology with the fastest turn around of results available anywhere in the world. OliogScan provides a new approach for practitioners to understand that it is imperative to work with the intracellular heavy metal toxicity before addressing mineral imbalances.

More specifically, for example, a hair analysis shows which metals were present during the last few months, and if a body cannot detoxify well, low amounts of metals will be found in hair, which is known as false-negative results.

Blood, urine or hair analysis results take about two weeks, while the Oligoscan provides results immediately.

Urinalysis shows to what extent the body can excrete metals. In a normal spontaneous urine sample, almost nothing is excreted. Only after the body is provoked reveals increased metal concentrations in the urine. This is done with a challenge test for toxic metals and it is a valuable test that shows specifically what amount metals are present in the extracellular environment.

Blood tests show metals which have circulated recently. Metals are dumped from the bloodstream into the tissues within a few days. Therefore, blood can only be used in acute situations to test for toxic metals. The amounts of minerals and trace elements remain fairly constant in blood.  For instance, many people with muscle cramps often show normal magnesium levels in serum, and also if the magnesium content is measured in red blood cells.

The OligoScan measures intracellularly. The urine challenge test, an extracellular measurement, and OligoScan, complement each other completely in this aspect.

Understanding aluminum’s ability to rob the body of critical minerals and interfere with functions such as mobility, memory, detoxing and digestion, provides a way to show the effects of how Herbalix products work in opening up the lymphatic system, purging heavy metals with ultimate validation measured in the OliogScan.

Topical detoxification (chelation) is an effective, easily controlled, less problematic and convenient approach to removing heavy metals.  Skin purging has the benefit of reaching places where internal cleanses may be restricted or have limited effect (skin, lymph, and dense breast tissue).

Herbalix topical skin purging products include:

Restoratives Nighttime Cleansing Detox Deodorant (NCDD) – formulated to help cleanse and purge away toxic, heavy metals (aluminum) and impurities that have accumulated in the underarm area.  Use as a companion to Herbalix Non-Suppressing Daytime Deodorants.   Ref:  Herbalix Restoratives Nighttime Cleansing Detox Deodorant Clinical Trial – April 13, 2007

Belly Fat Freedom™ (BFF) – a topical liver detoxification and cleansing approach, targets removal of retained toxins and heavy metals, promoting lymphatic drainage.  BFF is a remarkably safe and effective way to alleviate the heavy burden placed on the liver and deep visceral fat of the belly.

Sentinel Breast Crème™ an effective, topical detoxification poultice with the ability to purge and absorb accumulated toxins and heavy metals, in the skin, breast tissue, vaso-constricted lymph nodes and micro-vessels.  Used in conjunction with NCDD.  Ref: WIRB Sponsor Protocol Num: HC-JPD-001.01, WIRB Protocol #20110796.

Upright™ Stick for Men – As males age, they can accumulate toxic heavy metals leading to chronic inflammation in organs, most vulnerable the testes. To maintain a healthy, clean reproductive system, apply a light coat of Upright to the scrotum and perineum area periodically.  This topical crème made with detoxing powders will trap, absorb, and cleanse away (thru osmosis) unwanted aluminum allowing blood flow and natural nitric oxide to return.

Herbalix also offers the Women’s 80 Night Lymph Detox Program and Men’s 60 Night Lymph Detox Program.

Herbalix Coriander Kelp Scrub Bar – cleanses the skin of purged toxins, unclogs pores.  The soap is non-comedogenic and made with fresh whole Nubian goat’s milk – most like sebum of skin.  Alpha-hydroxy acids naturally help neutralize free radicals.

Do Your Lymph Glands Need to be Drained?

August 15th, 2014

Our human lymph glands basically exist in order to collect waste from our blood. The lymphatic system circulates what is called interstitial fluid or lymph to your cells and body tissues. Everyone has between 500 to 600 lymph nodes, which play an important part in the functioning of a normal immune system. Lymph nodes are the little bean-shaped organs of the lymphatic system. These glands can be independent such as those located in the neck and collarbone or they can appear in groups under the arms in the armpit or in the groin area.

Lymphimages Do Your Lymph Glands Need to be Drained? Located in the underarm area, the axillary lymph nodes act as a filter for bacteria, viruses and other disease-causing microorganisms. Divided into two types, superficial and deep lymph nodes, the lymph glands are essential organs to the human immune system.

A part of the lymphatic system, lymph nodes are key to the body’s immune defense. Lymphatic fluids supply unfiltered body fluids to the lymph node for filtration. The fluids are collected by the efferent vessels and emptied to the cardiovascular system. If you have swollen lymph glands, it is a sign that the node is fighting a viral or bacterial infection, or worse yet, cancer. The swelling from swollen lymph nodes or glands can sometimes be alleviated by massaging the lymph nodes to physically help the lymphatic system rid the body of the toxins. People often increase exercise or soak in an Epsom salt and baking soda detox bath. Others increase exercise to sweat. The goal of massage therapy is to speed up the detox process.

People who study the non-aluminum deodorant market have long suspected that alums clog the lymph nodes, and could be linked to cancer. The lymph nodes are also a site for initiation of autoimmune system responses. The size of lymph nodes is very important to determine various medical conditions. Lymph nodes can become inflamed, swollen and painful under certain conditions.

Detoxing Lymph Glands

There are a number of specialists interested in new products coming into the marketplace that can reverse damage done from using underarm antiperspirant products containing these toxins. One such company called Herbalix Restoratives (www.herbalix.com) makes the Herbalix Nighttime Cleansing Detox Deodorant. The company does not use any type of synthetic preservative system in any of their products. The Nighttime Cleansing Detox Deodorant is 100 percent paraben-free, and it has no metals – meaning it is a non-aluminum deodorant – and also has no propylene, phthalates, emulsifiers, dyes, fillers, or other synthetic ingredients.

In order to abate any issues with clogged lymph glands, a number of medical professionals, and people are switching from an aluminum-based antiperspirant to natural and organic skin care products. Some have experienced a detox or lymphatic reaction including everything from rashes to bad odor to itching and red bumps. Others experience swollen lymph nodes when they stop using anti-perspirants and begin to use a natural deodorant. But not to worry, your body is finally getting rid of the pore-clogging, lymph node disrupting action of the aluminum salts caused by antiperspirants.

There is also evidence that a lymph drainage massage can also help to aid nasal and sinus congestion, and even allergies. There are people who use products that aid in detoxing aluminum from the underarms and lymph glands. They may have experienced increased body odor, or even an itching response. Swollen lymph nodes are not a problem in themselves but rather a sign that the body is working to get rid of all those toxic ingredients – including aluminum – that you were using under your armpits every day.

Detoxing the Poor Little Armpit and More

July 25th, 2014

box underarms Detoxing the Poor Little Armpit and More

Detox your underarms with Herbalix Nighttime Cleansing Detox Deodorant.

We have all been seeing recent television commercials talking about “your poor little armpit” sponsored by a leading soap brand. The reality is that yes, your armpit IS getting a bad deal. But not for the reasons they say.

For some reason, since Mum, the first commercial deodorant brand was introduced in the late nineteenth century, everyone listens to them. The big personal care brands developed and manufactured and marketed deodorant and antiperspirant products, and people never even questioned this – so people have been listening and slathering chemical laden stuff underneath their arms ever since. Yuck and why?

Our human underarms are among the most consistently warm and moist areas of the human body. The sweat glands also provide moisture, which when excreted, has a cooling effect.

Deodorants were initially intended to prevent body odor caused by the bacterial breakdown of the perspiration underneath a person’s armpits. The same thing goes for feet, and other private and moist areas of the body. Then a special subgroup of deodorants were developed and they were named “antiperspirants,” affecting odor and designed to actually “prevent” sweating. This process happens by affecting a human’s sweat gland – something the Food and Drug Administration has classified and regulated as an over-the-counter drugs.

Think back, and you might remember the first commercial deodorant, Mum, which was was patented and sold in the late nineteenth century by an inventor in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, whose name has sadly been lost to history. Mum was briefly withdrawn from the market in the U.S., but it is now currently available at U.S. retailers under the brand name Ban.

There are studies globally proving that a small percentage of people are allergic to aluminum, and they can experience contact dermatitis when exposed to deodorants containing aluminum.

That said, the modern formulation of the antiperspirant was patented by Jules Montenier on January 28, 1941, called “Stopette” deodorant spray. Time magazine said that Stopette was “the best-selling deodorant of the early 1950s.”

But by the year 2007 a study stated that personal care products are potential contributors to the body burden of aluminum. Newer evidence has linked breast cancer with aluminum-based antiperspirants, and states that these chemicals, especially the aluminum in antiperspirants, are very bad for human beings.

A study published in the journal BMC Pediatrics, addresses infants and the early exposure to aluminum, pointing out that there is an urgent need to reduce the aluminum content of infant formulas. Headed by aluminum expert Dr. Chris Exley of the Keele University, it appears as if infant formulas used daily by millions to feed children up to 12 months-plus of age, are dangerous as they are contaminated with aluminum.

There is other information confirming that even the over-the-counter products labeled as “natural deodorant crystal” contains a chemical known as potassium alum which is bad for us. Labeled as a popular alternative to modern commercial deodorants, ammonium alum is a common type of alum sold in crystal form and often referred to as a deodorant crystal, and it has been used as a deodorant in the Far East, Mexico, Thailand, and other countries.

Antiperspirants and deodorants come in many forms, and keep in mind, what is commonly used in different countries worldwide will vary. As one example in the U.S., solid or gel forms rule, while in Europe the aerosol sprays are popular.

Daily Detox Make Easy: Herbalix Nighttime Cleansing Detox Deodorant

January 28th, 2014

The dangers of aluminum in our bodies is becoming mainstream. The problem is that people still do not realize how much aluminum is actually present in their everyday lives — from food to prescriptions to personal care products, aluminum, alum or some form of this mineral compound, are in just about everything we touch, breath and eat. Today, many people are trying to follow an Aluminum-Abstinence Therapy (AAT).

If you are really interested in learning about the damage that Aluminum could do to your body, check out our white paper entitled, “The era of Aluminum Overuse.”

Below we list just a few sources that might contain toxic amounts of aluminum.

Any food with aluminized baking powder, which is a mixture of chemicals used as leavening in baking products to make a cake (for example) rise during the baking process. It is typically used in foods like cookies, doughnuts, pie crusts, waffles, as well as prepared cheeses, and meats. READ THE LABELS! Also, watch out for aluminum in creamers for coffee, microwave popcorn, hot cocoa mixes and pickles/relish. Just look for aluminum-free baked goods, and other products such as non-aluminum deodorants.

When it comes to personal care products, read the labels on the following products: Body lotions, face creams, anti-perspirants, crystal style deodorants (alum salts), commercial soaps, most cosmetics, shampoos/conditioners, lip balms, and almost all suntan lotions and sun screen or sunblock products.

Many over-the-counter medications and prescription drugs contain aluminum so again, read the labels and consult your doctor or pharmacist. You can ask your doctor for alternative, aluminum-free medications.

DetoxDeodorant Daily Detox Make Easy: Herbalix Nighttime Cleansing Detox Deodorant

Use every night for 30 days or longer to detox aluminum from your body.

If you find that most of the products in your home do have aluminum in them, begin a slow and steady detox program by using the aluminum-free Herbalix Nighttime Cleansing Detox Deodorant. Aluminum of any type, toxic air vapors caused by chem trails or gasoline and environmental toxins are absorbed through the skin and lungs. They enter the blood and are ultimately transported throughout the body, ending up in the lymph system and are stored in our cells as well. The Nighttime Cleansing Detox Deodorant cleanses and deodorizes while you sleep. It is safe, simple, convenient and works to cleanse your body thru the underarms. With frequent use, over time (usually a minimum of 30 nights) your odors and perspiration will become more manageable and less toxic. Here is what one happy customer had to say.

“Thank you so much for your nighttime Cleansing Detox Deodorant. It has been the only deodorant to help my chronic armpit odor problems. I greatly appreciate the quality product that you offer.” – Melinda S. Stone Lake, WI.

The Finest in Organic Skin Care Products

July 20th, 2013

With so many chemicals being used in personal care products today, what does it take for a company to produce truly organic skin care products? Herbalix Restoratives knows, because they have been producing fine quality organic products for more than 14 years and serving a growing market of health care practitioners, as well as consumers seeking body care products that are equivalent to their preferences for organic and healthy foods.

Herbalix has contracted clinical trials thru independent laboratories as well as clinics and laboratory tests, providing scientific evidence and therapeutic product benefits to support their products. The Nighttime Cleansing Detox Deodorant has undergone individual tests including preliminary clinical studies showing reduction in significant amounts of aluminum during a three week period, the last week using the detox deodorant, the first one being a baseline and the second with subjects using an antiperspirant. No other competitor can make that claim. This represents a distinct and significant market advantage.

According to medical science, and up to now, the field of lymphatic system has had limited research and it is perhaps the most misunderstood system in the body. Though the future is now the focus of research in the next coming years may well be to use sophisticated equipment to explore and capture in real time the lymphatic system and lymphatic fluids. Herbalix is already addressing these concerns. Herbalix Restoratives’ extensive and trail blazing research has revealed new discoveries in this area providing needed resources for doctors and Scientist in the way of topical detox products osmotically targeting the lymphatic system. Herbalix Restoratives, J. P. Durga Research Division continues to work to be a leader in this area.

Natural Skin Care Trends for 2013

December 2nd, 2012

One fairly odd skin care trend for 2013 is a “Nightingale Poo” treatment which has beneficial enzymes in the bird’s feces. Lovely! This treatment can be used to exfoliate and help rejuvenate the skin, and is just one of the many new concepts surrounding natural skin care products. However, this is probably one we would not recommend. However, there is huge growth in the natural and organic skin care and cosmetic industry, as evidenced below.

Mintel, a market research firm, did a forecast back in 2010 showing that the skin care future would be bright with sales projected to increase from $4.35 billion in 2009 to $4.97 in 2013 after economic recovery in the United States and globally. The firm also said that the biggest year on year growth would take place in 2013 at 4.9 percent.

The latest trends today in cosmetics and skin care involve new projection motion sensor technologies. For example, in the Asia Pacific where space is limited, marketers are using technology to target the consumer and bring them into the buying experience. First they will track to find out if you are a man or a woman, and you may hear and see water, then when you walk away this water turns into a trickle.

New technology in Brazil projects images of real live people in digital form onto a screen featuring products along the side. If you are a customer, you would simply point at the product you wish to try, then use your finger to pretend to apply lipstick, and it will suddenly appear on your lips in the image on the mirror.

When it comes to natural skin care products, in 2013 the trends will continue for pure organic skin creams, and serums that support skin cell regeneration. Detoxification creams will become more and more popular – even those that help target belly fat for weight loss – such as Belly Stripper. One detoxing product is called the Herbalix Cleansing Detox Deodorant, which cleanses and deodorizes while you sleep, removing any buildup of metals like aluminum caused from antiperspirants. This ultimately supports healthy lymphatic flow, and ultimately reduces underarm odors altogether.

Why Organic Skin Care is More Affordable

April 5th, 2012

You may be wondering how organic skin care products can be less expensive than traditional skin care products.  The reason is because  people more likely use more of a particular traditional product and they therefore need to buy it more frequently.

Non-organic skin care products contain a high percentage of water — this is actually often a base ingredient, so, you’re basically purchasing a highly diluted product.  A person who uses non-organic cream moisturizers may go through two to three jars before they notice results. Plus, the results are usually only temporary. You’re actually saving more money when you buy organic skin care products because you consume less of the product, the results are visible earlier and they last because your skin is becoming healthier.

The Herbalix Geranium Cream Moisturizer for dry-damaged skin may cost more than the average cream moisturizers you find at traditional stores for $8.99. Why?  Because  this product contains a variety of natural ingredients. It also lasts a lot longer than a jar of non-organic moisturizer. And the good news is the results are visible earlier and they last.  The main reason for this is that your skin is becoming much healthier.

Non-Aluminum Deodorants Help Those Who Sweat

March 20th, 2012

There is one very important part of  your body — the underarms.  Have you ever wondered why they smell?  Experts are just now learning about how this affects our health. Your underarms are the part of our bodies where the fluids from the lymph nodes drain.

Body odor is the unpleasant smell our bodies can give off when bacteria that live on the skin break down sweat into acids. Actually it is the  bacteria breaking down protein into certain acids. Ironically, sweat itself is odorless to human beings. It is the rapid multiplication of bacteria with sweat that causes the unpleasant smell – and this is simply perceived as unpleasant because most people have been taught to dislike it. Many people with smelly underarms are finding they get better results when they use a non-aluminum deodorant.

Body odor starts around 14 to 16 years of age in girls and 15-17 years in boys.  People who eat spicy foods, or the obese, plus individuals with diabetes, are more prone to having body odor. Body odor can occur in our feet, anus, genitals, groin area, pubic hair, armpits, and even behind the ears. The odor can have a specific smell to each and every individual. Plus a person’s unique body odor can be influenced by gender, health, medication and diet.

Human bodies have three to four million sweat glands, of which there are two types: eccrine glands and apocrine glands. Eccrine glands are a type of simple sweat gland located in almost all areas on the body where there is skin. They produce sweat that reaches the skin’s surface via coiled ducts (tubes). Eccrine glands are responsible for regulating our body’s temperature. Apocrine glands are found in the genital area, breasts, eyelids, armpits, and ears.

Links Between Mercury in Vaccines and Autism

December 6th, 2011

Once again the link between mercury in vaccines and autism is in the news with new findings by the nonprofit group known as Coalition for Mercury-Free Drugs (CoMeD) is proving that the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) deliberately manipulated, by covering up scientific data showing links between vaccines containing mercury and autism.

CoMeD obtained critical documents via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, and has now officially exposed the CDC  and its role in manipulating a key Danish study that showed a clear link between vaccines containing mercury and autism. Now the CoMeD is pressing the CDC to conduct a criminal investigation then make a formal declaration about whether or not there was scientific fraud.

Antibacterial Soaps Kill the Bad AND Beneficial Bacteria

August 30th, 2011

In the August 25 edition of the journal Nature, you will find an article by Dr. Martin Blaser, MD discussing his research and concerns about the widespread use of antibiotics and how this might be causing permanent changes in the body’s protective, friendly flora. This in turn could be causing harm to the body’s overall natural defense system. Dr. Blaser worries that this might be more dangerous to our health than the unintentional development of what are known as “superbugs.”

The report discusses the fact that by the age of 18, most children have already had at least between  10 and 20 doses of antibiotics, in addition to the antibiotics provided to women who are pregnant. As wonderful as the discovery a of antibiotics was and still is helping to increase life expectancy, there is some controversy.Doe they destroy even friendly bacteria, not just harmful ones?  Scientists have found that some of the beneficial bacteria may never recover from a dose of antibiotics, and that these extinctions may lead to increased susceptibility to infections and disease. As a result, antibiotic use could be contributing to the increases in obesity, allergies and asthma, inflammatory bowel disease, and type 1 diabetes that are occurring throughout the developed world.

The discovery and use of antibiotics has helped to increase life expectancy, to be sure, but the fact is,  antibiotics are are non-discriminatory and destroy even friendly bacteria, not just harmful ones. Scientists have found that some of the beneficial bacteria may never recover and that these extinctions may lead to increased susceptibility to infections and disease among humans. As a result, antibiotic use could be contributing to the increases in obesity,  inflammatory bowel disease, allergies and asthma, and type 1 diabetes. These diseases  are occurring throughout the developed world.  This is all the more reason to use products that are truly organic, like Herbalix Restorative’s hand soaps and shampoos.

The same is with the skin.  Antibacterial soaps kill the bad and beneficial bacteria.  Herbalix shampoo and liquid hand soap work to leave the good bacteria while reducing any bad bacterial.  Most antibacterial soaps leave your hands dried out, but Herbalix soaps are goats milk soap, made from organic goat’s milk. -more-
