Organic Personal Care Market Expected at $15.98 Billion by 2020

November 10th, 2014

In a recent article entitled, Organic personal care market likely to post double-digit annual growth to 2020, by Simon Pitman, we learn that “most global regions are expected to post near double-digit annual growth in organic personal care over the next six years,” according to a new market research report. Grand View Research said the global market is slated to grow from approximately $8.20 billion in 2013 to approximately $15.98 billion by the year 2020, showing annual growth rates between nine and 10 percent across Asia, Europe and North America.Grand View Research believes that most of the growth is being driven primarily by increasing consumer awareness of organic products and product innovation.

Herbalix (www.Herbalix.com) is seeing growth in the organics marketeplace as well. In the past, personal care products for body cleansing primarily included  soap, body washes and  scrubs. Today, modern technologies are more scientific such as the company’s skin purging therapies which are of great interest to the medical community.

Of biggest concern are the commercial deodorants/antiperspirants that contain any type of aluminum, alum, petroleum or propylene glycol, which can lead to the buildup of chemicals under the arms. This can often not only result in irritation, but can also cause hygiene problems, or worse. Antiperspirants may leave a residual of alum salts in the underarm, and over a short period of time undetermined DNA damage might occur under the arms.

There is one unique product from Herbalix that can help eliminate any bad chemicals from our bodies — the Herbalix Nighttime Cleansing Detox Deodorant™.  It has been formulated to cleanse away buildup of unhealthy chemicals inside the body, and to release waste fluids. This in turn encourages healthy lymphatic flow, and absorbs all types of aluminums.  The bonus is that this process encourages a reduction in daytime odors.

An organic non-aluminum deodorant, the popular Herbalix Nighttime Detox Cleansing Deodorant™ offers an exceptional cleanse while it also deodorizes while you sleep. Daytime deodorants typically work during the day to regulate and absorb odors. Herbalix deodorants are all made with certified organic ingredients and no synthetic chemicals or aluminums.

Herbalix is seeing growth as well, with particular interest among medical practitioners who are purchasing and reselling the company’s skin purging detox products to patients in need.

Best Organic Skin Care Tips for Summertime

May 29th, 2014

Everyone shows more skin in the summer, so here’s how Herbalix Restoratives (www.herbalix.com) suggests that you get ready to face the sun’s rays. Following are some of our best summertime organic skin care tips:

1) Exfoliate for smoother skin

Exfoliation removes dead skin cells. This technique has been around for many thousands of years and it actually helps improve the hydration from moisturizers.

Herbalix offers its unique blend of coriander seed and kelp in a superior Scrub Bar made with fresh goat’s milk. This Herbalix Restoratives Cream Bar Soaps helps exfoliate dead skin cells and release impurities. Choose from the gentle aromas of two fragrances – Ceremonial Sage or Coriander. Both will leave summer dry skin smelling clean and fresh, and looking luminous. soaps2 Best Organic Skin Care Tips for Summertime

2) Lighten sun spots with strawberry, lemon or lime

When you get too much sun, over time and also with aging, some people get what we call age spots. To help diminish them, cut a large strawberry in half and use a fork or knife to poke the flesh and draw out the juices, then swipe it across your face in small circles. Leave the juice on your face for several minutes, then rinse off. This will lighten up any sun or age spots over time. You can get the same effect with a lemon or lime, so slice a fresh lemon or lime and apply the fruit directly to the sunspots for 10 to 15 minutes per day. The acid in the fruits will lighten the spots and also helps to remove any dead skin cells.

3) Keep skin hydrated.

226 Best Organic Skin Care Tips for SummertimeAfter you exfoliate, follow up with the Supreme Solution™ intensive body moisturizer to seal in moisture and support cellular regeneration. It has been carefully formulated using a very rich and expensive blend of pure, skin beneficial, non-RBD oils including: Almond, Olive Safflower, and Rice Bran, Avocado, Pumpkin Seed, Meadowfoam, and Carrot Seed, to name just a few.

“So far I have tried the moisturizer, both the stick and the cream in the beautiful blue jar. The moisturizer feels like velvet on my skin as I rub it in. Its scent is so subtle, natural, and light. For those of us who have difficulties with scents and who are sensitive to many ingredients, thank you from the bottom of my heart…” said one customer who identified themselves as S.V. in Maryland.

The unique combination of oils will hydrate your skin thoroughly. This formulation is extremely concentrated so a little goes a long way. It has been formulated without alcohols, binders, fillers, or emulsifiers, so it takes extra time to absorb. Supreme Solution is available in three lovely scents: Supreme Solution Clary Sage, No Added Fragrance and Tropical Cove.

And this month of June, you are in luck! If you sign up for the Herbalix News & Deals newsletter, you can get a hefty 15% off all the Herbalix moisturizers during the month of June including Supreme Solution and The Herbalix Moisture Stick in Tropical Cove (right), a whole body moisturizer with organic herbs and essential oils. Use as a lip balm, facial moisturizer or anywhere you want to. The unique moisturizer stick application is great for summer vacations or business travels.

4) Drink plenty of H20

With summer’s higher temperatures and more time outdoors, you can become dehydrated, which sometimes leads to headaches. Drink eight 8-ounce glasses of plain, filtered water every day. This will help maintain critical moisture balance of the body and it will benefit your skin tremendously. Remember that if you drink caffeinated beverages like tea or coffee, you need to drink even more water daily.

5) Use a No Added Fragrance Skin care Regimen

The summer’s UV light can cause brown spots, also known as photo aging, especially if you have sensitive skin. This results in coarse skin and wrinkles eventually, whether you have been sunburned or not.

NoFragrance Best Organic Skin Care Tips for SummertimeWhen sunlight comes in contact with skin damage happens with the stripping of barrier lipids, and this causes inflammation, along with the production of reactive oxygen molecules, affecting healthy cell growth, and the stimulation of enzymes that destroy collagen.

Tans may be a popular summer look, but it indicates damage to your skin. Cover up, and simply wear a hat that blocks the sun, then you won’t need any chemical laden sun screen.

If you have sensitive skin, try the Herbalix No Added Fragrance line of skin care products. Created for those who prefer clean products with no added fragrance. Synthetic chemical and petroleum free, these products contain no parabens, phthalates, or propylene glycol, and they can be used by the entire family.

The Benefits of Detoxing Your Body Through the Skin

December 24th, 2013

When you begin any detoxification program, it means you are cleaning out the body — removing impurities from your tissues, blood, and organs such as the liver. Your body also eliminates toxins through its kidneys, lungs, lymph glands, intestines and even your skin.

The benefits of detoxing are many … it can help your body’s natural cleansing process by: stimulating your liver so that it will naturally eliminate any toxins; improve blood circulation; promote elimination through the intestines and kidneys; and provide essential nutrients and energy (fuel) to the entire body.

Herbalix Restoratives is a leading organic skin care company specializing in detoxification through the skin. The company works with doctors to develop special detox programs such as Dr. Mitra Ray’s Men’s 60 Night Lymph Detox program. There is also a detox program especially for women — the Women’s 80 Night Lymph Detox Program. It includes the exclusive Sentinel Breast Crème.

The detox kit includes Herbalix organic detox products such as:
Nighttime Cleansing Detox Deodorant – cleanses buildup and helps release waste fluids, encouraging lymphatic flow while absorbing all aluminums, and reducing odors.
Geranium Deodorant – Regulates and neutralizes rather than masks odors with a subtle fragrance of geranium essential oil.
Coriander Kelp Scrub Bar – with a blend of coriander seed and kelp to exfoliate dead skin cells and draw out impurities.
Belly Fat Freedom – helps remove toxins and promotes the loss of flab beginning in the belly area.

When you begin a detox program, there are several indicators that the toxins are transitioning out of your body, so do not be alarmed. These symptoms should not last more than a couple of weeks and keep in mind, these symptoms might fluctuate with deeper levels of detoxification.

Some symptoms as well as helpful suggestions include:

1) Drinking water is essential to the detox process.
2) Eat a simple diet of fresh foods including plenty of vegetables. Avoid caffeine and alcohol; be gentle to yourself and rest as often as you can.
3) Detox side effects might include tiredness, itching, skin eruptions, changes in feces, increased nighttime urination, noticeable body odor, and possible changes in your sleep pattern.
4) Many healthcare practitioners recommend warm water enemas. Dr. Mitra Ray and Dr. Jennifer Daniels who authored Do You Have the Guts to Be Beautiful (Shining Star Publishing, 2011) suggest beginning enemas about a week prior to the Herbalix detox.
5) Be sure to keep a diary and track your body weight and measurements from start to finish of the detox process 30 days later.
6) Be sure to wear old pajamas or a tee shirt as sometimes clothing can be stained. The staining may be a direct result from what is actually coming out of your body. Do not over apply the creams.
7) Avoid wearing metal jewelry, such as earrings, when using these detoxification products – especially not at night.
8) Always remember to use soap to wash off any residue in the morning and use the daytime deodorant provided in the kit instead of commercial deodorants.

If any of the above symptoms are uncomfortable enough to make you want to stop, then simply either apply less of the topical creams or take some time off for rest in order to slow down the build up of detox symptoms. Doing so will help your body get into a manageable detox rhythm more easily.

You can repeat this detoxification program two times per year for ongoing detox from food xenobiotics, aluminum and other metals, as well as environmental toxins.

Herbalix organic skin care products are safe for babies and their delicate skin.

Many customers ask Herbalix if they can use the organic skin care products on their baby’s delicate skin. As we all know infants are irritated easily with skin conditions like cradle cap, or diaper rash. But, most of the time, rashes are not harmful plus they usually go away. The answer to the question about using Herbalix products on a baby’s skin is probably yes, but test it first.

Most babies are prone to skin irritations especially during the first few months after they are born. This can be caused by a diaper rash due to wet diapers that have been left on too long, or from an irritating brand of detergent. Some babies are even allergic to baby wipes. Make sure to keep the diaper area dry and open to the air, and change diapers often, and wash baby’s skin with a warm cloth.

Did you know that there is such a thing as baby “acne”? It is nothing like the kind of acne that teenagers or adults get, and in fact research has found that it may be related to yeast rather than oil production. Pimples on a baby’s cheeks usually clear up by themselves fast so you do not need to treat baby acne.

There is another problem for many babies – eczema – which is a red itchy rash that often occurs in response to a trigger. It can become dry, thick, and even scaly. You may also see eczema on the elbows, arms, chest, and even around baby’s knees.

Organic Skin Care and Body Detox Stands up to the Test of Time

September 5th, 2013

By Elizabeth Fessler

For centuries humans have interacted with their physical world and their own bodies. Skin care methods and body detox methods have stood the test of time for a good reason. There were many early methods for detoxification, among multi cultures – from India and Asia to the United States – including everything from dry brush massage, to cupping, to counter-irritation. What’s more, an internal detox, or colonic irrigation is actually mentioned in the bible.

Cleopatra Organic Skin Care and Body Detox Stands up to the Test of Time

Dating back to ancient Egyptian times, skin detoxification and beauty rituals included a number of primitive methods. One popular ancient organic skin care detox method was the use of sea salt from The Dead Sea.

Our Egyptian ancestors believed that toxins formed in the body because of decomposition within the intestines, which ultimately resulted in a fever. One ancient method was known as “counter-irritation” which was produced by the direct application of a hot instrument or a cautery that was manufactured in a variety of shapes. Basically, drainage was implemented to cause a chronic inflammatory reaction which resulted in the form of a bister or running sore which could be maintained for a long period of time. This way, the humors (poisons) could be continuously released from the body. Counter-irritation was often used in the treatment of paralysis and asthma. The blister was commonly produced by applying a blistering agent such as a poultice of cantharides, and it was then left in place until a blister formed. Boiling liquids — oil, honey, wax and syrup were often used for cauterization. The doctors would often apply the cautery until they heard sizzling along with a noxious smell and shrived skin.

Dating back to ancient Egyptian times, skin detoxification and beauty rituals included a number of primitive methods. One popular ancient organic skin care detox method was the use of sea salt from The Dead Sea, which was often used by Cleopatra in her bath to combat skin problems including psoriasis or eczema.

Cupping is another body detox technique that has been practiced in China for many thousands of years. Believed to help free up blockages of energy pathways in the body, cupping involves placing heated glass cups onto the skin at key pressure points, causing suction which stimulates blood circulation.

Dry skin brushing – brushing the skin with a dry brush – has been used for many centuries in Europe for. internal and external toxin elimination. It aids in unclogging pores that have become clogged from makeup, toxins in the air or from food. Dry brushing helps get rid of the dead skin cells with toxins, and it also helps increase circulation.
Throughout history in most societies humans have practiced massage to relieve muscle tension and help eliminate waste matter from the muscles, as well as to assist in keeping the system regular. Recently – during the last century – massage has brought forth many new techniques to help cleanse the human body.

Today skin detox methods are much more sophisticated including products that have been formulated especially for the purpose of detoxing the body. Herbalix Restoratives (http://www.herbalix.com) has been successfully marketing its Cleansing Detox Deodorant – a pure and organic Nighttime Cleansing Detox Deodorant is designed to cleanse aluminum, unwanted debris and impurities from the body.

Organic Skin Care and Adult Acne

April 22nd, 2013

You wake up and take a look in the mirror and see acne forming. What are you going to do? Here’s a plan that you can take to the bank to combat acne before it spreads. But first let us get comfortable and review how our acne may have erupted. Just like a volcano forms from excess lava, our bodies are constantly ridding excess toxins or cellular waste.

The skin is an organ and when eruptions occur, especially around the face, we need to take several preventative measures. Herbalix has connected several easy factors that may explain the reasons why.

First, if you have animals, then you we need to wash your hands after petting them. That’s simple enough to follow, but washing with an organic goats milk soap or liquid hand soaps is paramount as they are designed to clean foreign bacteria away. Also Herbalix bar soaps and liquid hand soaps contain a certain saponified Nubian goats milk and Herbalix bacteria (ingredients) absorbing agents to help protect your skins immune matrix. You can safely use them on your face when you wake up and before sleeping to help regenerate healthy skin layers.

You may be trapping unhealthy skin layers with non-beneficial products that increase bacteria on the skin. Herbalix skin care products are really great at removing make-up, as opposed to adverse astringent and drying chemicals that are on the market that may be leading to breaking down your skins’ immune system.

Dietary issues such as wheat and sugars accelerate can also contribute to acne due to gut inflammation. Did you know an inflamed gut can exhaust thru the lungs and this leads to skin eruptions around the mouth? Additionally, the belly needs attention to ward off excess salts found in breads, pizza and other starches that accumulate in the gut. Stick to more greens and reduce the salts found in processed foods. Herbalix has developed a new product to help cleanse the salt and toxins in the fatty tissues surrounding your organs called Belly Stripper (http://www.bellystripper.com)
